A group of accredited Colombian universities has joined forces to:
Colombia’s Ministry of Education regulates the quality of higher education through the National Accreditation Council (CNA, for its initials in Spanish). The council has a system of policies and strategies to guarantee that higher education institutions fulfill quality standards and accomplish their visions, awarding the High Quality Institutional Accreditation.
This accreditation is the State’s verification of the quality of an institution. It recognizes and differentiates the institution by demonstrating the accomplishment of its goals and social impact, and it assesses its ability to develop physical and human resources in order to fulfill its mission in an efficient and responsible way.
Twenty-one of Colombia’s universities have been awarded the High Quality Accreditation. They have been recognized for their ability to self-regulate, for the social relevance of their institutional project, for their accomplishments in teaching, research and social impact, and for their development in administrative, managerial, financial and physical resources and for the overall well-being of their stakeholders.
